• University Project - Final Year Project

For my University Project, I designed, built and maintained an E-Learning Environment. The purpose of the E-Learning Environment was to follow a government initiative allowing pupils to have out of school time education. The site was built using XHTML, CSS, PHP5 and MySQL to the latest Usability standards. It also takes into account user access and restrictions.

• Cornhill-on-Tweed - Community Website

Cornhill on Tweed is a small community based in Northumberland and for their website they required a Content Management System, which allowed them to add, edit and delete news, notices and directory items. This site uses XHTML, CSS, PHP5 and MySQL to store and manage this data. The Directory page is the most popular on the website and lists all local businesses and allows the site administrator to add, edit and delete any businesses that come and go from the village.
This was one of my first ever commercial projects and gave me good exposure to user requirements

• Blairdrummond Safari Park

The Blairdrummond Safari Park is a very popular website, With regular requests from the Safari Parks owners for new areas to be added to the site. The Admin area of the site provides the safari parks' staff with numerous options. They can manage the sites' guestbook, Manage Animal Adoptions, view the mailing list and manage bookings for coach trips to the safari park. This website is maintained on a daily basis. To meet the demands of a busy day to day modern safari park.

• Berwick Rangers

Being a keen Football fan this website was excellent to work on and was considered quite an achievement to be involved with. This site was built using XHTML, CSS, PHP and MySQL. It has a comprehensive news archive, As well as numerous other options. Match Reports, Match Previews and Squad Updates can all be managed by the Content Management System.

• Coast Marine Boat Builders

Coastal Marine Boat Builders was built using XHTML and CSS-P. The site showcases Coastal Marines' Boats that have been refurbished or built in their famous drydock located in Eyemouth, Scotland.

The Haggerston Spa was built using Java Spry sets, which allow the website to all be located on one page. Its a very clever tool and will be considered for other websites created in future

• Toque Snuff

An e-Commerce shop, which sells the unusual but popular "Snuff Tobacco". This site was built and managed by ClickCart Pro Software. But it was still a task in itself to customise and make sure that the shop works correctly with the Secure Trading payment gateways.

• J Aitchison

The J Aitchison Car Garage has a comprehensive content management system behind it which allows the garage owner or staff member to add / edit and delete cars on a regular basis. This site has also been Search Engine Optimised. Ensuring that it has a suitable amount of hits on a regular basis.

• Tweedmouth Mitsubishi

The Tweedmouth Mitsubishi website also allows staff members to add / edit and delete new and used cars from the website. All managed by an MySQL Database.

• sb-dev

SB-DEV is my other portfolio website. This was concept of a possible new company set out by myself and Scott Blackburn. What we were looking to do is at somepoint in the future launch our own company and call it sb-dev. This domain was bought mainly for my University Project purposes. But I have taken it further and made it a mini portfolio site showcasing my work.
